A shower instead of a bathtub was disappointing!!! the road noise could be bothersome for light sleepers. More soundproofing would enhance the experience.

Request a corner unit for more privacy and a larger parking space during your stay.

Both a hit and a miss

The apartments were incredibly well-equipped, resembling a private home away from home. The kitchen had all essentials, including a washing machine, making our 4-night stay convenient.

Be cautious with the narrow stairs when bringing luggage. there's no lift available, which could be a hassle, especially for larger bags.

perfect central base for city strolls and parks

My stay was fantastic and made even better by the perfect location which is just a quick walk from Hagley Park and the Christchurch Art Gallery, allowing me to easily explore the city on foot. I also appreciated how warm and welcoming the staff were, providing helpful tips for our daily adventures!

Had a fantastic stay at Merivale Manor! Our three-bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and felt like a cozy home. The staff gave us awesome local dining tips and arranged our airport transport without a hitch. Just a bit of road noise at night, but totally worth it!

We had a sweet as stay! The apartment was super clean and the espresso machine was a real treat. Just watch out for those narrow stairs with your bags!

Really enjoyed my stay! The room was beautifully decorated and the heated floors in the bathroom were a lovely surprise. The shower didn't have a bathtub, but it was super spacious anyway. don't forget to check out the lovely garden area for some relaxation! 🌿

Couple recommend this lovely stay

The owners were incredibly warm, going out of their way to provide a coffee pot for my morning fix, I drink plunge coffee. I felt like I was at home, the room was spotless and was even equipped with a cooking hob which helped a lot during the stay.

It wasn’t the cheapest option out there but worth every penny.

A lovely stay at Merivale Manor! The Peacock Suite was beautifully decorated, with a spacious living area and a fantastic shower. Breakfast delivered to our room was a delightful touch. Matt and Kate were exceptional hosts, providing local tips and accommodating our needs with ease.

We had a great time. the room was super clean and had its own kitchenette. loved the parking at the back and proximity to awesome restaurants nearby.

My stay in the Peacock Suite was an absolute joy! The suite was beautifully decorated with a separate lounge, and the shower was incredible. Breakfast was delivered right to our room, and the stunning views from the balcony made mornings magical. Matt and Kate went above and beyond, helping with local tips and even accommodating our transport needs effortlessly.

It was just a commendable fit for a quick layover in Christchurch with outstanding value. The room had a lovely view of the garden, making for a pleasant stay. Pay in cash to avoid extra charges with card payments.

Had an amazing group trip with friends! The location is perfect, thanks to the nearby fabulous breakfast spot, Truffle, and the delightful dinner place, Tutto Bene. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff were super friendly and offered great local tips.

We occasionally experienced some noise from the street, but it wasn’t too disruptive for us overall.
